Nature Based Learning:  Our activities are driven by the world around us.  We draw inspiration from the seasons, the weather, the tides and the wildlife around us.

4 children running in fall leaves.

Child Led Themes:  You never know what may grab a child's attention and interest.  Here is an example of a theme developed from the children's play.  One child introduced sea shanty music to the group and they loved it.  We were answering many questions about the music and lyrics and a new curriculum was born.

Learning Made Visible:  Teachers provide weekly posted pictures with curriculum information.  Documentation focuses on the experiences that children are involved in and the skills they are acquiring through these experiences. Documentation may include photographs, artwork, nature journal entries and published stories written by the children.
