Welcome to Fledgling Forest School
Exploring parks in Shoreline and North Seattle, the Fledgling Forest School is a 100% outdoor preschool. We believe that children thrive immersed in nature and learn best through play. Our curriculum is child led, nature based and Reggio inspired.
Explore Our Curriculum
In Reggio philosophy the physical environment acts as a third teacher. Being 100% outdoors we have endless inspiration and provocations for activities.
|
Our curriculum is developed based on children's interest. Our teachers observe and document student play. Lesson plans are then built around what the children are most excited about.
|
Learning Made Visible: Teachers provide weekly posted pictures. Documentation focuses on the experiences that children are involved in and the skills they are acquiring through these experiences.

Masking Policy:
We teach our students that wearing masks is a social responsibility to protect others and ourselves.
Our families work together to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Families, students and teachers are welcome to mask at anytime.
Individual students may be asked to mask when they are experiencing symptoms, returning to school after an illness or after holidays/travel.
The school will return to universal masking during times of higher respiratory illness transmission in the community.
